The year’s opening day has added excitement as the Jackals are teaming up with NJ Sharing Network (NJSN) for a “Donate Life Celebration” to raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The National Anthem will be sung by E. Denise Peoples, NJSN’s Senior Manager of Community, a double-lung transplant recipient and Paterson native. The family of deceased organ donor, Kelvin Manuel Rodriguez of Passaic, will also be on hand to throw the ceremonial first pitch.

New Jersey Jackals General Manager John Hunt is also celebrating his 5-year lifesaving heart transplant anniversary. The event will feature prizes, giveaways and a 50/50 raffle with proceeds supporting the Sharing Network Foundation. Fans in attendance on opening day who show proof of being a registered organ donor will receive a free ticket to a future Jackals game. Tickets can be purchased at www.Jackals.com.
