The Role of a Hospital Devolopment Manager

“They say if you love what you do you don’t work a day in your life. There is no bigger honor than being a part of an amazing team whose mission is to save lives.

Anne Ambrosio

Advanced Hospital Development Manager

Hospital Development Managers or HDMs act as donation consultants to hospitals by developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures, strategies, and best practices to enhance organ and tissue donation in the hospitals they cover.

HDMs respond on-site during active cases to support all aspects of the donation process. Melanie Mostrowski, Manager of Hospital Development says, "An HDM's role is really to insure that everyone who touches donation in that hospital understands the important role they play in the donation process. We are educating nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists...and we're also the go-to point person for any donation related questions."

Speaking of NJ Sharing Network's mission of saving lives through organ and tissue donation, Melanie says, "I've always been interested in healthcare, but I could never really find a fit where the work that I do makes such an impact. If you want to be part of something that is so much bigger than yourself, I think NJ Sharing Network is the place to be. "
